David was born and raised in northeast Philadelphia and is a graduate of Northeast High School. He attended Bucks County Community College where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration and later attended Drexel University in pursuit of his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and minor in Finance. In 1987 following a successful career with General Motors as a Labor Negotiator, and later as a Materials Manager, he looked to pursue his passion for music and the arts through high end audio video design and installation. As a result, a small but formidable and life changing enterprise was born - Laser Sight & Sound, Inc. Following the sale of this operation in May of 1989 David was recruited by the then president of consumer electronics division to spearhead the opening of the Philadelphia market for Circuit City's road shop operation. This assignment required finding, attracting, acquiring and developing the top talent in the area to work in a new environment with a growing national powerhouse whose plans were to dominate the marketplace. Successful completion of this assignment meant turning toward the financial services sector as a result of experiences gained while working as a Labor Negotiator with the United Auto Workers. David learned the inner workings and importance of employee benefits and the need for individuals to work with a seasoned professional to plan for and ensure their family's future and financial security are appropriately protected. As a result, David's financial services career was launched with Prudential insurance as a full service multi-lines agent positioning him to service the broad needs of individuals, families and businesses. During his tenure with Prudential, David surpassed new agent expectations earning council qualification in his first six months and then repeating that performance in the next three consecutive years at which time he was promoted to management. Along the way, David completed his LUTCF (Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow) and CLTC (Certified Long-Term Care Specialist) designations, while earning Client Service and Persistency awards through the Bucks County chapter of NALU (National Association of Life Underwriters). In the summer of 2003 David was fortunate to have met Greater Philadelphia's Managing Partner Romany Abraham. As a result of this meeting and sharing of vision for the Greater Philadelphia General Office the transition to New York Life began. In April of 2007 David joined the firm following the sale of his independent Allstate insurance agency. David's career history exemplifies strong leadership and full commitment to the career agency system. David's passions lie primarily in making our world a better place. He strives to accomplish this through heightening awareness in individuals' financial responsibility, as well as with advancements in energy efficiencies, technologies and entertainment.
