I began my journey in the financial services industry in 1999 as the tech bubble began to burst. I spent eight years in the belly of an industry “behemoth” first trying to fit in and then trying to change them. Neither happened… As I sit on the sandy shores of independence, I realize that experience was priceless! At the end of my first year of my own practice I incorporated the life insurance half of my business to include my long-time friend and confidant Carl F. DeFranco, calling ourselves The DiMaria and DeFranco Group, Inc. Carl brings with him a wealth of lessons from years in the commercial real estate industry as well as the non-for profit development world. We agreed immediately that we would be about the business of family and the family business of “banking”.
