It was common for families to live together, and our family was no exception. Grandparents on my mom's side, my mom and dad and I lived in a 5 room 2nd floor apartment. One car for two families made public transportation our means. Being an only spoiled child, I never realized we were lower, lower middle class. I had no idea that money came from hard work and sacrifices. I thought money just grew on trees, which in retrospect that was not the best experience. Money was just poured on me so when I needed more my family just gave me more. With this background I was set up to make all the money mistakes, and I did. Through 46 years of marriage, five years of college, three children, four grandkids and over 21 years of teaching basic money rules, I have learned the truth of how money really works. Once learned these basic money rules are eye opening and life changing. None of the basic money rules are learned from magazines, books, TV, radio or financial institutions. Over the last 21 years I have been verbally criticized from those who work in the equity markets. I was told that the equity market and mutual funds were the only place to make money and that I would be remiss if I did not put my clients into the market 100%. I refused to follow their direction. I believe in the balance of guaranteed assets and non guaranteed assets. This is the true definition of diversification. The equity market, bonds, and mutual funds are not guaranteed assets and contain large risk. The number one basic money rule is to control the money that flows through your life. This is the foundation. Not one of our clients has ever lost one red cent in the guaranteed assets we recommend. The first step is to educate clients on how money really works. This is called the process. Picking the asset is the final step. With the current economic climate now is the most opportune time to learn money's basic rules to guarantee you have money for life in good times and bad times. Money Learning Center and Mature Planning will educate you so you can make informed decisions about your money. Office 513-755-5772 Mobile 239-293-7102 |
